Tournament Event Guides are created to help teams be prepared for tournament day.
Whether or not you’ve attended a DI tournament before, you know it can be quite the experience! Luckily, we have a few resources in place to help you plan what to expect at your local tournament.
Event Guides
What is an Event Guide?
An Event Guide (sometimes called an access guide, building guide, accessibility guide, or visiting guide) is a resource that highlights the details of an upcoming event through photos, descriptions, and other helpful information. This resource is intended to help you plan your tournament day!
Depending on which tournament you will be attending, your local Event Guide may contain information like the tournament schedule, map, and other details about the activities for the day. It may also include details about where to find restrooms, first aid, and other types of assistance.
Why might you use an Event Guide?
If you have never attended a DI tournament before, the Event Guide can be a valuable tool to help you build expectations among your team and any spectators who will be attending with you.
If you’ve experienced a DI tournament before, this resource can help you direct team parents/guardians and other visitors during a busy tournament day.
If you have anyone with a disability or access need attending with you, the Event Guide can help you preview how the event might meet your needs and/or how you can get assistance.
Where can I find my Event Guide?
Team Managers can find the Event Guide for their local tournaments by logging into the Resource Area. At the bottom of your Team Manager dashboard, you’ll see a listing of the tournaments in your area. Each one will have a link underneath that says “Click here to View Event Guide.”

Each Event Guide is available approximately two weeks before your tournament date. If you are having trouble finding yours, please contact your local Regional or Affiliate Directors. Some tournaments may also distribute their Event Guides via email or QR code.
