Learn how to generate and use your team's custom payment link for Global Finals.
It's easy for others to contribute to any team's Global Finals registration fee with our "Shared Payment Link" feature in the Global Finals Registration system. Here's how:
- Log in to the Global Finals Registration system.
- From the Teams menu, select register.
- Click the pencil icon next to the team you want the payment link for.
- Go to the Payments tab.
- Scroll down the page to the Shared Payment Link section (see screenshot below).
- Click the Copy Payment Link button.
- Paste your link into an email to send to those individuals that would like to contribute to your team's registration fee. Please note, the payment links are unique for each team, make sure you are sharing the correct one if you have multiple teams.
- Any person who clicks on your link will be taken to a payment page where they can make a credit card payment in any amount up to the remaining balance shown on the page (see screenshot below).
IMPORTANT INFO:
- Contributions to a team's registration fee are not considered to be donations to a non-profit organization, as these payments are considered fees for services. DI will not provide a tax acknowledgment receipt or letter to the contributor/payor.
FUNDRAISING TIP:
If your team is fundraising, you can use your Shared Payment Link in emails, social media, or fundraising websites so people can contribute directly to your fees.
If you're holding an in-person fundraising event, create a QR code for your Shared Payment Link so people can easily scan and contribute on the spot!
