How many students can be on a DI team?

Teams solving one of our competitive challenges (grades 3 through 12 + university) must be between 2 and 7 members.

For teams solving our Early Learning (non-competitive) Challenge, there is no limit to how many students can be on the team.

Replacing Team Members

Team members on a competitive team may only be replaced if your team started with less than seven members. When you start with seven contributing members and then replace one of them, the team has an unfair advantage as it will ultimately have eight members contributing to the team's solution.
